Flora Nsinga’s journey in the realm of banking and financial services is marked by her unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and empowerment. As the Chief Shared Services Officer at BK Group, Flora has played a pivotal role in shaping the strategic vision and growth trajectory of the organization and its subsidiaries.

Flora’s career began to take shape in 2009 when she spearheaded the organizational restructuring and human resources realignment at the Bank of Kigali. This initiative laid the foundation for a more customer-centric approach, driving the growth of delivery channels such as branches and agency banking. Her strategic acumen was further evidenced in 2017 with the restructuring of BK Group and its Strategic Business Units, consolidating them into a comprehensive financial services provider.

Central to Flora’s responsibilities has been the management of talent and the cultivation of a conducive work environment. Through innovative strategies, she has promoted employee engagement, leadership development, and stress-free workplaces. Her efforts have positioned BK Group as a premier employer, attracting both local and international talent pools.

In addition to her focus on human resources, Flora has been instrumental in optimizing procurement processes, enhancing cost-efficiency, and ensuring supply chain resilience. Her adept negotiation skills and strategic partnerships have contributed to sustained growth and profitability across BK Group’s business units.

Flora’s achievements are numerous and impactful. She oversaw significant restructuring exercises in 2009 and 2022, aligning the bank’s capabilities with strategic goals and enhancing shareholder value. Her leadership has driven procurement optimization efforts, resulting in market-leading cost-to-income metrics.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Flora is deeply committed to corporate social responsibility. She played a central role in establishing the BK Foundation, championing philanthropic interventions in education, innovation, and the environment.

Flora’s academic credentials include a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialization in Human Resources from Kigali Institute of Science, Technology, and Management (KIST), and a master’s degree in management from Cambridge College Boston, Massachusetts, with a focus on Leadership and Human Resources.

Aligned with her vision of collaborative success and innovation, Flora’s passion lies in coaching and empowering teams to navigate complex challenges with confidence. Her contributions have not only shaped the trajectory of BK Group but have also left an indelible mark on the banking and financial services landscape in Rwanda.

Flora is a thought leader and sits in various boards namely King Faysal Hospital, Green Hills Academy, BK Capital, Staple Brokerage, and National Land Authority.

Flora is passionate about positively impacting other people’s life, advocating for those treated unfairly, finding solutions for the underprivileged. Additionally, Flora has a strong passion for music and movies.
